Already being a big fan of BIG EAR molded motorcycle ear plugs, when I found out they where close to releasing a custom fitted ear plug adapter that would attach to the JawboneŽ Bluetooth headset the BE-JAW adapter, I told Mark and Glenn from BIG EAR I had to get my hands one it as soon as possible.

I have tried several Bluetooth devises with no satisfaction because everyone complained they could not here me clearly, when I would speak.  Then my good friend Larry Seckel turned me on to the Jawbone.  Finally, a product with technology that really worked.  The Jawbone identifies your speech, through a proprietary voice activity sensor, which identifies precisely when you are speaking, in any noise environment. Unlike other headsets, Jawbone can easily separate your speech from other sound nearby.  I actually can whisper and the person on the other end can hear me just as if I was speaking normally.

 

So why did I need the BIG EAR accessory for a product that works so great?  The damn thing either caused pain behind my ear where the metal ear loop applied to much pressure or the ear bud would never stay put in my ear.  The factory allows you customize your fit by choosing an ear loop and ear bud from the several shapes and sizes provided.  Nothing worked to make it comfortable to wear.

Knowing how comfortable the earplugs fit when BIG EAR custom fit my motorcycle riding plugs I just new the BE-JAW adapter accessory was the ticket.  Not only did it fit my ear perfectly, eliminating the metal ear loop and the pain that came with it, the earplug blocked most all the outside noise.  The molded fit allowed me to adjust the ear volume to half the normal volume setting required.
