Deadwood Stampede in Florida gets new name by the Bikers who attended, Dead RIP-OFF!
Just reporting the REAL news from ALL the riders that got their wallets “Snake Bit” when they ventured out to Gary Grubbs second failed attempt to hold and create a new rally the Deadwood Stampede. The facts of this article is compiled from all the comments left online at Scootergoods website, many bikers/patrons left the event pissed-off and stating they would never come back. Hmm, I wonder how many friends they will share this horrible experience with? Word a mouth, the very best FREE advertising. It will not matter how many cover pages, back cover pages or center fold pages the local biker magazine prints, this rally event is OVER.
Bikers/patrons say the rapping of the wallets started at the gate when they charged a $15.00 cover charge to get beyond the gates. That wasn’t bad enough so they punked you by charging $4.00 for a draft beer. $4.00 for a DRAFT, what the hell is this the new Daytona? Being out in the middle of a dirty, dusty, quarry pit, I wonder what marketing /promoter recommended charging $4.00 for a draft, what a total joke this concept was.
One day after you get over being so full of yourself, and you do the math you might understand that if you would have been reasonable and charge $2.50 per beer the average biker/patron would have hung out for the beer alone and would have bought six or more, generating $15.00 of income. In addition, when the event ended they would have told their friends that they had a great time, the beer was cold and reasonable. Now that is the common sense approach to business 101!
Bottom line is that same biker/patron only bought 1 or 2, $4.00 beers, generating a total of $8.00. It does not take a college education to see what is really going on. Lets not forget that the pissed off biker/patron is sharing with everyone that he/she will NEVER attend the” Deadwood Stampede” (aka Dead RIP-OFF Event). Now that is a good ROI, (Return on Investment).
Getting back to the cover charge, they advertised that the $15.00 cover gives you ALL you can eat buffet. As reported from the comments left at other websites there was a change of heart and were now charging for food, but did not bother to share the information until you were walking up to get your food. I wonder why they did not have the man balls to tell the biker/patron before they handed over the $15.00 dollars at the front gate. Do you think maybe that they knew the bikers/patrons would have turned around and hauled ass out of there? There is another great example of taking advantage and really pissing off all who attended and they again can now go tell all their biker friends how they got ripped off. Nice move there too!
The theme was supposed to be back to the old country. Who’s lame ass idea was it to try to sell boats at a bike rally. Then put on a ski show?
Vendors were very disappointed with attendance. Due to the fact that draft beer was $4.00, whoever did come left in a short period of time. Nice way to help the vendors out. The concept is to give them a good time, reasonable priced cold beer, and you will have a successful event, in return the vendors get a better chance to sell their goods.
The local tit bar reported they got all the money and patrons. Better entertainment, the beer was cheaper and no dust to breathe.
Therefore, what else is there to say except the shirt design says, “I got Snake Bit at the Deadwood Stampede”. It should read, “My WALLET got Snake Bit at the Deadwood Stampede.

$15.00 a person? A little steep maybe? And $4.00 a beer? What are they trying to do, keep up with gas prices? Got the makings of a great bike event with all the space and all. No advertising in our neck of the woods, (Polk Country). Next time, if there is a next time, try $10.00 entry fee and $3.00 beer and advertise that in the flyers and on line and see if you don't get more bikers. Also I heard complaints from car riders about the distance they had to walk. A couple of golf carts would have handled that problem.

It sucked! the1st. one was a great time even though it rained. This was hot, dusty and way too comercialized. I know we can't control weather but what the hell was boat sales doing at a biker event? Hey Mr. Grubs, smaller is better. Get back to the basics. You have the makings of a really great party and party location. You need to go to the next old school biker rodeo and see how it's supposed to be done or at least get some ideas to incorporate into the next deadwood, if there is one. And what was up with the draft beer prices? SLEEZON

Those people will never get another dime from me! $4 beer, what do they think it was Daytona or Leesburg. I went to the first one and I thought they might of learned something. Well they did! How to screw Bikers! Carol S. Bushnell

For the times we were there it was hot, and boring. To be honest we are not drinkers and the price for water were a little high. $2.00 for a 16.9 oz bottle. Most venues sell the same size for half that and still make money. Dave J.

Although the weather was not to bad, a little hot but not problem. The problem I found it was to comercialized and my wife said it was like being at Sea World with the water sking shows. The $15.00 was a rip off, the beer was way to expensive. For 2 beers I could buy a 12 pack. The flyer promised all u eat pork, hotdogs, burgers ext. but when we asked they said they changed there mind at the last minute and started charging. Will I attend another one HELL NO, this one sucked so bad that we left after only about 2 hours. If I want to see a water show I will go to Sea World. "Rick L."

Are you freakin kiddin me?!!! $15 for that lame ass crap? other than the guys jumping ramps on the dirt bikes,(they should get some props, was cool to see) it was boring as hell!we all spent more time, and had more fun at the 2 local tittie bars! and the beer was cheaper! MRK

I can’t believe the beers were $4.00 and $15.00 to get into that. Had to walk 2 miles to get in and stand in the heat. Only good thing there was the Greg Billings Band. Those guys ROCK!

Final note: You can not find one image at any website gallery that shows much more that 100 people at any given time. Proving that the comments left by others above, that the turn out sucked.
